Play ball
1 – Add to your buy list – Crossover Symmetry
After years of baseball and poor posture, my shoulders get cranky with the type of training I do (CrossFit). I spend five minutes before or after my workout routine to keep me in the game. I just follow the “cheat sheet” given with the bands. It’s super simple and super effective. Remember, the best program is the one you actually do.

2 – Banana Ball
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of catching a Savannah Bananas game at Truist Park, and it definitely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked over to The Battery from my brother’s apartment, the action never stopped. Dancing, singing, trick plays—nothing is off-limits when it comes to entertaining their audience. I’d say it’s fair to compare them to baseball’s version of the Harlem Globetrotters.
They stream most of their games on their YouTube channel (link below), and I highly recommend spending a few minutes checking it out. If they’re in town, it’s absolutely worth the price of admission.

3 – Metfix – The Daily Fix – Belly
Broken Science Initiative / Metfix, a sort of spin-off of the original CrossFit methodology, posts the ‘Daily Fix.’ One section of that post is ‘Belly’—aka food that is good for you. They share a new recipe each day, centered around protein and vegetables (CrossFit Nutrition RX = meat & vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, no sugar).
Eating the same foods over and over can get boring, so I’ve been experimenting with some of their recipes. The drumsticks with arugula salad were fantastic!

And you’re out. Have a great week
Josh
