Fall is Here: It’s Pumpkin Spice Season, Wings + Football, Sharpening Coaching Skills

1 – Satisfy The Pumpkin Spice Craving

A few years ago I was trying to find a healthy alternative for my wife’s addiction to Starbucks pumpkin spiced latte’s. That’s when I ordered this creamer and told her to give it a shot. The sugar wins for her and she keeps getting Starbucks, but I found myself really liking it. I don’t usually use creamer in my coffee, but every fall I order a bag of this as a treat when I want something a little different.

2 – Wings = Best Football Snack

Another staple of the fall for my family are chicken wings. Just about every other weekend I am throwing a batch on the smoker. I love making these on my Traeger. They are super easy to make. I recently was turned on the 0-400 method. Give it a try for smoky and crispy wings.

3 – Whiteboard Daily Book of Cues

We’ve had a recent increase in members flowing into our gym now that school is fully back in session. I am borrowing a copy of this book continuing to fine tune my skills to help people move better. I love helping people make a movement “click”. This book has given me some ideas on how to make that happen.

“Crush the Can” (for external rotation in the squat)

“Squeeze a Penny Between Your Cheeks” (glute activation to ensure proper hip extension)

“Avoid the Stripper Booty” (a common error cue for deadlifts)

And you’re out. Have a great week
