Fall Fitness: Rucking, Trail Running, Keto Chili

Play ball

1 – Rucking for Health

Now that fall is in full swing and the weather has cooled down in Georgia I like to get outside more for my workouts. I started rucking once I had kids (aka walks around the neighborhood, pushing a stroller, while wearing a weighted back pack). I use it a supplement to my other training. I get a low impact workout that helps improve my cardio. 30-60 minutes once or twice a week is my sweet spot. Simple yet effective

2 – Trail Running Shoes

Once the weather cools down I enjoy getting out on the trails instead of sticking to road running. The added level of focus needed to avoid rocks, sticks, roots, etc adds a meditative element that I enjoy.

I’m currently running in an old pair of Salomon Speedcross’s.

3 – Best Keto Chilli

Fall = Start of Chili Season in the Stidham household. I am not keto, but this is my go to chili recipe. Nutrient dense, packed with flavor, and just the right amount of spice.

And you’re out. Have a great week
