Running Coach in Your Pocket, Breathe Better, What I Am Listening To

1 – Runna App

Post-Hyrox, one thing I know I need to do to improve my running speed is to structure my training with more speed work. Previously, most of my running consisted of slow, easy miles. Any speed work was usually included within my CrossFit workouts, but at most, that involved four or five 400m runs mixed into a metcon. I think I need to include more frequent, longer interval-style runs (e.g., 6 x 800m, 4 x 1000m). I have very little experience when it comes to running programming, so I downloaded the Runna app for structure. I created a custom program based on my experience and my goal of improving my 5k time. I’m going to follow this exact plan for 12 weeks and then test for improvements.

2 – Breath Right Nasal Strips

Another item that recently came into my life where after a couple of uses had be thinking…. where have you been all of my life. I have young kids in day care and about this time every year its inevitable one of them comes home with a runny nose. Within days that’s passed onto me and I muscle through not being able to breath & poor nights sleep for the next couple weeks. I picked these up and instantly it relieved a lot of the pressure in my nose and I am able to sleep through the night with little problem. Game changer.
