Post-Japan Depression?, It’s Baseball Season!, What Am I Listening To

It’s been a whirlwind of a few weeks. International Travel, Domestic Travel, New Job…. I am back. Play ball

1 – Osaka/Tokyo Japan Trip

I was fortunate enough to take a work trip over to Japan a couple of weeks ago. I was there a total of 7 days. 6 in Osaka and 1 in Tokyo. We did work quite a bit, but I also had a fair amount of time to explore. Osaka Castle, numerous temples, Cherry blossom trees, NPB baseball games, Japan Baseball HOF, ramen, sushi, and the list goes on. I had a great trip, but I learned something about myself during this trip. I love to travel….. but only when I am traveling with my family/close friends. I had a full day in Tokyo solo and there was a piece that was missing in enjoying that day.

2 – Go Braves

The regular season officially kicked off. My predictions for this season –

American League

  • AL East Winner: New York Yankees — Still rooting for Max Fried
  • AL Central Winner: Detroit Tigers — Grew up going to Toledo Mud Hens games and a lot of young growing talent
  • AL West Winner: Seattle Mariners — Don’t know about them since I am bed when they play, but solid squad
  • Wild Cards: Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, and Toronto Blue Jays.

National League

  • NL East Winner: Atlanta Braves — Need offense to carry them through the season and hopefully the pitching side can get healthy
  • NL Central Winner: Chicago Cubs — Most boring division
  • NL West Winner: Los Angeles Dodgers — $$$
  • Wild Cards: Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers, and New York Mets.

3 – Brandon Lake, Lainey Wilson – The Jesus I Know Now

And you’re out. Have a great week
