Is AI The Future, Visit The Heart of Northern Michigan, Books Are A Teacher That Never Tires

1 – Chat GPT-5 is Here –

I am no AI expert, but at this point its super clear AI will be integrated into our lives just as google is today. Me creating this new letter was actually a project helping me apply/use AI to do something. Be wary of reading the fear based articles of the downside of AI. I suggest taking a little bit of time learning more for yourself so you’re not left behind.

Things I use AI for: Microsoft excel functions, planning trips, editing blog post, help creating a website, create CrossFit workouts, any more

2 – Take a trip “Up North” – Traverse City Michigan –

Traverse City, Michigan offers all the classic tourist activities you’d expect from a beach town—great restaurants, public beaches, charming shops, fudge, saltwater taffy, and more. I’m lucky that my in-laws live just 20 minutes north of Traverse City, so we get to visit a couple of times a year.

There’s plenty to do in downtown Traverse City, but I think the real gem lies just outside the city, where things are a little less busy. If you’re into adventure and the outdoors, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park is a must-see. If you’re into drinking, you’ll find wineries sprinkled throughout the area. There are also fantastic microbreweries, distilleries, and cideries to explore.

The region is full of local farms where you can pick fruit, buy fresh-baked goods, or stock up on groceries for the week. But the highlight of the area is definitely spending time on the lake or at the beach. July and August are the best months to visit. The water may be chillier than Florida’s beaches, but the fresh lake water more than makes up for the lack of ocean salt. The coastline, with its towering sand dunes and lush greenery, makes long beach walks relaxing and enjoyable. Finish the day with a camp fire in the sand, eating a smore, and watching the sunset over Lake Michigan.

There is plenty more to explore that I even haven’t done. It takes some effort to get to, but I highly recommend visiting at some point.

3 – Rob Dyrdek –

Schools in our area just started up and my 4 year old started pre-kindergarten. Reading is super important to me and I loved this quote from Rob Dyrdek as part of the opening of a library that is named after him.

“This one if for the kids. School creates your framework for processing information into understanding and applying that understanding to develop knowledge but what you choose to read will determine who you become.”

And you’re out. Have a great week
